CHURCH has long been a vital part of Dundee’s cultural and nightlife scene, a space where live music, club nights, and inclusive events came together under one iconic roof.

Since 2012, the venue has gone through several incarnations,  including The Doghouse, Buskers, 20 Rocks, and Bar 15, before becoming CHURCH: a vibrant, multi-use venue known for unforgettable gigs and a deep sense of community. With a capacity of 385, it became a home for local legends like The View, global acts such as Snow Patrol and Texas, and club favourites including Basshunter, Cascada, and the Vengaboys.

But CHURCH has always been more than a venue. It’s been a safe space,  especially for the LGBTQIA+ community, championing inclusivity through drag events and different club nights. Our mission has always been to create a welcoming, electric environment for everyone.

Recently, however, we were evicted from our home on Ward Road. It’s a painful blow, but not the end of CHURCH. Far from it.

We’re currently working in partnership with Beat Generator to keep our shows running, and we’re actively searching for a new permanent space. Our commitment to the community, the music, and the memories we’ve built remains as strong as ever.

This is just the next chapter. CHURCH lives on,  and we’re not done yet.
