Designed by David MacKenzie building commenced on the Wesleyan Methodist Church in 1866. The Gothic style church was completed in 1867 and the first service was held in June of that year.

Since 2012 the Ward Road venue — which has a capacity of 385 — has gone under a number of guises including The Doghouse, Buskers, 20 Rocks and Bar 15. Now known as ‘Church’ the multi use venue can run and accommodate all different types of gigs, events and club nights. Over the years of being Church we have been lucky enough to have some of the biggest names in music from the likes of Dundee’s own The View to Snow Patrol and most recently Glasgow favourite Texas.  As well as the likes of Basshunter, Cascada and the Vengaboys as part of different club events that we have hosted.

Also known for the LGBTQIA+ friendly events we host providing a safe space for all, as well as range of different events from our weekly ‘Sinners’ club night to having contestants from Rupauls Drag Race and our weekly Drag Bingo.
